Subscription and billing management
JumpCLI is a commercial SaaS service. Meteroid is the source of truth for plans, subscriptions, invoices, usage, and entitlements. The operator console configures products, reviews fulfillment, and handles exceptions without maintaining a second local pricing or subscription state machine.
Product and plan configuration
- Create a plan draft with a customer-facing name, service entitlements, price, and billing cycle.
- Verify the currency, price, cycle, usage metrics, and quota rules.
- Publish the plan so customers can purchase it.
- Before a customer purchases or changes a subscription, confirm that the plan and its payment, billing, and entitlement mappings are active.
- Archive plans that are no longer sold. Do not delete products still referenced by customer subscriptions or invoices.
Drafts are not visible to customers and cannot create active subscriptions. A plan must have valid pricing, payment, billing, and entitlement mappings before it is released.
Subscription records and fulfillment
When a customer purchases, renews, upgrades, downgrades, or cancels a subscription, the system keeps an auditable subscription record with the plan, status, billing cycle, start time, end time, and change time. This record is used by customers to review service status and by operators to reconcile orders, invoices, and entitlements.
After a payment notification is verified, JumpCLI updates subscription and invoice status through the billing adapter and synchronizes workspace entitlements. The subscription record is authoritative; a successful payment page does not by itself mean that entitlements are active.
If payment has completed but the subscription is still inactive, check payment notifications, fulfillment status, billing connectivity, and the exception queue in that order. Do not edit order status in the browser or bypass fulfillment by changing the database manually.
Reconciliation and exceptions
Regularly review failed or pending payment notifications, subscription and invoice consistency, active plan mappings, usage events, quota deductions, and refund, cancellation, expiration, and renewal changes.
If an order total is incorrect, a subscription remains stale, entitlements are missing, or billing connectivity fails, pause related high-risk operations, preserve the order identifier and timestamps, and follow Troubleshooting. Handle customer and payment information only through authorized operations and audit procedures.
